Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Environment Hydrogeologist to deliver comprehensive knowledge of groundwater behavior and inform sound environmental risk management for our operations.

About the Role

This key position is responsible for developing and maintaining effective environmental groundwater monitoring programs, analyzing and reporting on program data, and providing hydrogeology expertise to project and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage our groundwater monitoring programs in relation to site activities and groundwater extraction from major aquifers
  • Train and assist team members in undertaking groundwater monitoring activities
  • Provide hydrogeology expertise to project and operational teams
  • Analyze and manage the groundwater database
  • Lead and review groundwater modeling and make recommendations for project studies and statutory approvals
  • Coordinate research and analysis to recommend options for mitigating environmental water risk
  • Develop processes and systems to meet licensing and statutory permitting requirements
  • Built relationships with internal stakeholders to address problems effectively

Requirements:

  • Proven commitment to personal wellbeing and confidence in speaking up when necessary
  • Tertiary qualification in Hydrogeology or equivalent
  • Significant industry experience, including water modeling and data analysis
  • Experience in remote travel and groundwater monitoring and sampling
  • Ability to engage with both internal stakeholders
  • Intermediate to advanced computer literacy and complex data analysis competence
