Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Operational Systems/ Security and Infrastructure Manager to join our team at Healthscope. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our IT and telephony systems, as well as maintaining a secure and safe environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain our IT and telephony systems, ensuring they are running smoothly and efficiently.
- Coordinate breakdowns and liaise with external contractors to ensure prompt and effective resolution.
- Ensure compliance with relevant statutory requirements and regulations.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with our facilities management team to ensure a safe and secure environment for all.
- Provide excellent customer service to our patients, staff, and visitors.
Requirements
- General IT and telephony experience, with a focus on security and infrastructure.
- Fire and emergency training.
- Experience in facilities management, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Qualification in a relevant field, such as IT or facilities management.
Personal Competencies
- Ability to perform hands-on tasks and propose solutions to issues in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
- Practical and proactive approach to operational systems management.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to prioritize and schedule work efficiently.
Preventative Maintenance and Asset Management
- Schedule maintenance tasks according to manufacturer's recommendations and Australian standards.
- Implement an efficient maintenance logging system and identify key performance indicators (KPIs) for turn-around time.
- Adhere to Healthscope's IT and security policies.
- Prioritize repairs and systems maintenance.
External Contractors
- Utilize external contractors where required and negotiate efficient prices.
- Coordinate external contractors while on site and ensure they are inducted according to Healthscope's Work, Health and Safety policy.
- Ensure all contractors sign in as visitors and wear appropriate identification.
Tools and Equipment
- Ensure all equipment is maintained in a safe working manner.
- Keep work areas tidy and free from tripping and other hazards.
- Establish trade accounts for the purchase of consumables.
- Ensure efficient use of recyclable material wherever possible.
