National Capital Hospital is seeking an experienced Operational Systems and Security Manager to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the hospital's IT and telecommunications systems, ensuring the security and integrity of patient data, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the hospital's IT and telecommunications systems, including network infrastructure, servers, and software applications.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of patient data, including compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient working environment, including the management of facilities, grounds, and pest control.
  • Coordinate the work of external contractors, including IT and telecommunications specialists, and ensure that all work is carried out to a high standard.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the effective management of IT and telecommunications systems.

Requirements

  • General IT and telecommunications experience, including network infrastructure, servers, and software applications.
  • Experience in facilities management, including grounds maintenance and pest control.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with staff, patients, and external contractors.
  • Qualification in a relevant field, such as IT or telecommunications.

Personal Competencies

  • Ability to perform hands-on tasks, including the management of facilities and grounds.
  • Practical and able to propose and implement solutions to issues in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
  • Proactive in preventative IT and telecommunications management.
  • Able to identify efficiencies and implement strategies to achieve results.
  • Ability to prioritize and schedule work efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage external contractors.
