Job Summary:

This role is responsible for managing and coordinating temporary traffic control schemes to ensure safe working conditions for maintenance workers, work crews and members of the public.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be able to operate in a team environment and possess a high level of physical fitness.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Setting up, managing and removing temporary traffic control schemes
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and codes of practice
  • Collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting any incidents or near misses
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid driver's license
  • A clean criminal record and ability to pass background checks
  • Basic workplace traffic management and traffic control accreditation
  • Ability to lift 10kg and stand for long periods
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Working Conditions:

This role involves working outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, dust, smoke, electricity, railroad traffic, loud noise and uneven footing. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided as required.
