Key Responsibilities

This role is responsible for managing customer accounts, focusing on early-stage arrears for secured and unsecured loans.

  • Manage overdue accounts by assessing customer financial situations and proposing solutions.
  • Implement debt recovery strategies, including payment plans, skip tracing, and liaising with external agencies.
  • Develop and document effective collections processes to foster a best-practice culture.
  • Maintain accurate records of all communications and actions related to each account.
  • Build strong relationships with management and internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations, including the National Consumer Credit Protection Act, Privacy Act, ASIC guidelines, and Anti-Money Laundering/Know Your Customer requirements.

A key aspect of this role is developing and documenting effective collections processes to foster a best-practice culture. This involves staying up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements. You will also be expected to maintain accurate records of all communications and actions related to each account.
