Job Description:

  • Lead a small team to deliver top-notch facilities and logistics support for international government clients in the Asia Pacific region.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Auburn office, focusing on facilities, logistics, and warehouse management.
  • Oversee maintenance and operation of the facility under guidance from the global facilities team, ensuring optimal functioning and safety in alignment with corporate policies and government regulations.
  • Anticipate business needs, managing multiple priorities proactively and resiliently.
  • Develop and maintain required processes and procedures.
  • Be flexible and react quickly to changing situations, interacting effectively with all management levels and staff across functions globally.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouses, transportation, shipping, and export compliance.
  • Direct, optimize, and coordinate logistics cycles.
  • Liaise and negotiate with service providers.
  • Manage stock quality inspections, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, and delivery efficiency.
  • Arrange warehouse inventory, plan delivery routes, and process shipments.
  • Supervise, coach, and train warehouse staff.
  • Manage external maintenance and cleaning staff.
  • Ensure compliance with security and safety regulations.
  • Manage renovations, refurbishments, and upgrades as per the global facilities annual budget.
  • Work closely with landlords to ensure building energy efficiency.
  • Manage facility budgets and accounts, conduct equipment audits.
  • Coordinate new building projects with the Director of Capital Projects.
  • Meet productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets. Resolve any arising problems or complaints.
  • Maintain metrics, analyze data to assess performance, and implement improvements.
  • Provide logistics and export support to other regions as needed.
  • Conduct local risk assessments and ensure mitigation activities adhere to safety protocols.
  • Respond to facility alarms and emergencies as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven working experience as a Logistics and Facilities Manager.
  • Record of successful distribution and logistics management including export controls.
  • Demonstratable ability to lead and manage staff.
  • Hold or be prepared to obtain a forklift license.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in maintaining ISO accreditations.
  • Desirable: Experience with SAP S/4HANA and first aid training.
