**Job Opportunity**

We are seeking a Governance Lead to support project governance and assurance activities, contributing to routine program reporting.

This position will engage with stakeholders across capability management, sponsorship, and delivery, performing routine activities and delivering accurate information through collaboration.

The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of governance frameworks, methodologies, tools, and procedures, as well as excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing governance requirements for the Guided Weapons Production Capability Branch, including prioritized decision making and escalation.
  • Coordinating and supporting stakeholders to assess baseline governance and controls, in accordance with policy.
  • Analyzing existing risks and opportunities to identify and document governance framework opportunities.
  • Developing implementation plans, defining exit criteria and test period activities.
  • Implementing test activities, updating, refining, and deploying the governance framework.
  • Educating stakeholders and embedding governance practices across the Branch.
  • Developing plans, documents, and reports on governance management, escalating risks and mitigation strategies to the appropriate authority.

**Requirements**

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant qualifications or proven industry experience.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative and capacity to solve problems.
  • Experience with Acquisition and Sustainment governance.
  • Experience managing implementation of business transformation initiatives.
  • A negative vetting 1 defence security clearance or higher.
