Buyers Assistant Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Buyers Assistant to join our team. This role is perfect for recent Fashion Graduates looking to take their first career step into the world of Buying.

  • You will build foundational skills to prepare and propel you into the world of Buying, working closely with an Assistant Buyer to support them with market research and other tasks.
  • This role will suit a Fashion Graduate who is looking to take their first step into Buying and wants to learn and grow in this field.

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role include:

  • Administration, preparing reports, data entry & database management
  • Processing and maintaining purchase orders, raising and managing orders in the product database ensuring accuracy
  • Raising internal product descriptions, ensure effective sample management, collate samples for relevant meetings as required
  • General administration and database management
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Fashion Merchandise / Enterprise (or equivalent)
  • Experience working in a Retail environment
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Ability to manage a high workload and can work to tight deadlines
  • Can re-prioritise workload based on business priorities
  • Ability to form relationships across the business
  • Willingness to take initiative and have a 'can do' attitude
