The Sportsgirl team champions our vibrant community, Generation Sportsgirl, every step of the way. Our Opportunity Based at our Head Office in Cremorne, this Buying Assistant role supports the product development cycle and is a key part of our team and business. You will build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, supporting the Buyer to improve financial results and meet business objectives. With your experience in creating CADs, fashion sense, and administrative skills, you'll quickly adapt to various responsibilities while continuously learning and developing. You will assist with product development, maintain supplier relationships, and collaborate with other teams across the brand. What your day-to-day will look like
  • Create CADs for trend collections
  • Manage orders, range sheets, and associated administration
  • Prepare weekly sales reports, merchandise racks, and product analysis
  • Manage samples effectively
  • Coordinate with the Planning team on orders and delivery updates
  • Contribute creative input for product development
  • Attend fit sessions and review garments on the body
  • Communicate daily with vendors
  • Maintain effective communication across departments
Our ideal candidate will have
  • Relevant education, such as a Design/Buying/Merchandise Diploma or Business/Commercial degree
  • Previous experience as a Buying Assistant in fashion retail preferred
  • A passion for product and growth in this field
  • Experience creating CADs and proficiency in Illustrator, InDesign, & Photoshop
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Administrative management skills
  • A proactive, collaborative, and adaptable mindset
