Aboriginal Mental Health Trainee

The position offers the opportunity to study for a degree in mental health while working and gaining supervised experience.

There is no prerequisite for entry into the course, and a tutor is available to support the study component. The trainee will work within multidisciplinary teams on rotations within inpatient, residential and community teams of the mental health service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with patients to provide mental health care and support
  • Assist in the development and implementation of treatment plans
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Certificate IV in Mental Health or equivalent qualification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
