Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced nursing professional to lead our surgical admissions team as a Nurse Manager.

This role oversees the management of pre-admission clinics, discharge planners, and cardiac liaison nurses, promoting quality customer service and excellence in patient care.

The successful candidate will provide leadership and implement clinical and operational strategies in alignment with local service plans, upholding and promoting our organisation's Mission and Values.

A key aspect of this role is effective resource management, including human, material, and financial resources. The successful candidate will also have opportunities to develop and advance the clinical specialty as a centre of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
  • AHPRA Registration
  • Recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting
  • Ability to work independently, proficiently, and in an organised manner during high demand and activity periods
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
