Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled investigator to join our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing an understanding of safety issues and their impact on digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate complex cases and conduct deep analysis of potential threats that can manifest on social media.
  • Identify sources of abusive behaviour and quickly assess the credibility of potential threats to mitigate risk of harm.
  • Work collaboratively with other analytic and investigative teams across the industry.
  • Gather, analyze, and synthesize relevant data to identify potential abuse and escalate imminent threats as necessary.
  • Collaborate with policy, engineering and integrity partners to improve the detection of behavior that violates community standards.

Requirements

  • Excellent analytical and investigative skills combined with the ability to quickly assess large amounts of data to detect critical and credible information.
  • Experience working with sensitive issues, including graphic violence, various religious and political views, and adult content, as well as experience protecting highly confidential information.
  • Experience working independently under high-pressure situations and making sound, time-critical decisions with little to no supervision.
  • Experience making risk-based decisions involving pattern, network, and behavioural analysis.
  • Experience with social media, analytical tools, and internet-based research tools.
