The Job Role

  • Guide a team of merchandise planners, build their capability, and foster a high-performance culture.

  • Align customer strategy, financial plans, and commercial objectives with merchandise teams.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and inventory health with precision and accountability.
  • Embed insights into strategies, range reviews, promotions, and clearance programs.
  • Influence strategic direction with analysis, scenario planning, and proactive risk management.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Sharp commercial acumen to interpret data, spot issues, and turn insights into strategy.
  • Confident in managing challenges, fostering partnerships, and balancing healthy tension.
  • Skilled at coaching, engaging, and growing talent while delivering key results.
  • Deep experience across sales, profit, stock, GMROI, and inventory management.
  • Strong communicator who drives alignment and outcomes across multiple stakeholders.
