Job Summary:
Lead the Way in Wellbeing and InclusionThis is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to join our team as Assistant Principal Wellbeing and Inclusion. As a key member of our school community, you will play a vital role in shaping the wellbeing and inclusion framework, ensuring that all students have access to the support they need to thrive.
Main Responsibilities:- Strategic Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive wellbeing and inclusion strategy that aligns with state policy and supports the needs of all students.
- Disability Inclusion: Oversee the Disability Inclusion Profile process, including identification of students, coordination of multidisciplinary teams, facilitation of profile meetings, and documentation and review of reasonable adjustments.
- Staff Capability: Build and lead staff capability in inclusive practice and wellbeing through coaching, mentoring, modelling, and the delivery of targeted professional learning aligned to the School Strategic Plan.
- Team Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the work of relevant staff, including wellbeing leaders, allied health professionals, and integration aides within the inclusion team.
- Student Support: Collaborate with teachers and teams to ensure students with additional learning and wellbeing needs are supported with evidence-based, targeted interventions and strategies.
- Program Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate the impact of wellbeing and inclusion programs using relevant data, feedback, and student outcomes.
- Qualifications: Provisional or full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
- Policies and Procedures: Demonstrated ability to implement Department of Education and Training policies to a high level.
- Learning Technologies: Understanding of, and a commitment to, the use of learning technologies to improve teaching and learning.
- Interpersonal Skills: Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills in individual, small group, and community contexts.
- Personal Qualities: Exemplary values pertaining to personal qualities of objectivity, sensitivity, and integrity.
- Community Engagement: Able to work with parents and the community to develop a strong learning environment.
