Your Impact

The purpose of this role is to undertake hydrological, flood modelling, and dam safety projects and to collaboratively work with other disciplines. You will be required to write proposals for, win, and manage both complex and smaller projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake and lead a range of hydrology, flood modelling, and dam safety projects
  • Complete office-based hydrological, flood modelling, and consequence assessments, including the use of a variety of modelling software packages
  • Prepare risk assessments and method statements
  • Data collation and analysis
  • Provide specialist hydrological, flood modelling, and dam safety support to other technical disciplines within Jacobs, including for infrastructure projects

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering
  • Author technical reports that detail the type, methodologies, results of field activities, interpretation of results, and impact assessment
  • Coaching and mentoring
  • Able to directly liaise with clients in a confident manner and lead meetings with clients
  • Build relationships with clients, contribute to business development, and support the pursuit of new opportunities with existing and new clients
  • Effectively collaborate with the wider water resource practice to share technical skills, resources, or work packages
  • Attain/maintain proficiency in the use of standard tools, techniques, and equipment that are required for the undertaking, completion, and delivery of your work
  • Liaison with clients, stakeholders, and regulators
  • Liaison with Jacobs teams across the globe
  • Presenting information to stakeholders in meetings in a concise and effective manner
  • Authoring complex assessments/reports
  • Report checking and review
