Leading a Senior Winemaking Team

The role of Chief Winemaker is integral to driving business performance and advancing growth plans. Reporting to the Managing Director, this senior leadership position plays a vital role in shaping the company's wine style and culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all winemaking operations, ensuring operational excellence and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Lead the winery team, providing operational leadership and professional development opportunities.
  • Prepare production plans to meet forecasts, style, and timelines while maintaining control procedures and quality standards.
  • Liaise with growers, performing vineyard inspections and coordinating vintage logistics.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date winemaking and production systems and records.

Strategic innovation, product development, and international representation are key expectations for this role. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge across a diverse range of styles and varieties, as well as experience managing large winery operations and multidisciplinary teams.
