About the Role

This permanent full-time position at Level 5-6 offers a salary package commencing at $93,169 plus superannuation of up to 12.5%. As an Engineering Construction Surveyor, you will be part of the Technical Services – Survey Team. Your primary role will be to provide surveying services to Councils Construction Section of the Capital Delivery Branch.

  • Establish and maintain control networks for construction purposes
  • Read and interpret Engineering plans
  • Associated office calculations and the preparation of set-out files
  • Conducting Survey Setout for civil works on site
  • Maintain appropriate quality assurance and data management practices
  • Adhere to industry and organisational OH&S standards
  • Facilitate the survey pickup and processing of as constructed data, in accordance with councils Ascon guidelines, to be included in Council's spatial and asset management systems
Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include: establishing and maintaining control networks for construction purposes, reading and interpreting engineering plans, associated office calculations, conducting survey setout for civil works on site, maintaining quality assurance and data management practices, adhering to industry and organisational OH&S standards, and facilitating the survey pickup and processing of as constructed data.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have an excellent fit with our values of communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency, and leadership. You should hold a current Class C driver's licence, hold an Associate Degree in Surveying (or equivalent Qualifications), or substantial industry experience in the field of Surveying. Experience with the use of 12D and Leica or Trimble survey equipment would be highly regarded. Excellent time management skills and excellent written and oral communication skills are also essential.
