We are seeking an experienced and skilled roofer to join our team as a roof plumber. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for installing roofing systems, guttering, downpipes, and rainwater goods on steel-framed buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install roofing systems, guttering, downpipes, and rainwater goods on steel-framed buildings, ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards.
  • Construct and install metal roofing on steel-framed structures, working closely with builders and other trades to coordinate project delivery.
  • Install insulation, cladding, and roofing materials according to required specifications, adhering to relevant building codes and regulations.
  • Interpret roofing layouts, construction drawings, and site plans accurately, ensuring all installations meet design requirements.
  • Collaborate with builders, metal fabricators, and other trades to ensure smooth project delivery, maintaining open communication and clear expectations.
  • Operate tools and machinery safely, including drills, grinders, welders, cutters, and elevated work platforms (EWPs), following established safety protocols.
  • Conduct regular quality assurance checks to identify and rectify any installation defects, upholding high standards of workmanship.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations, prioritizing employee and public safety.
Requirements:
  • Hold trade qualifications in Roof Plumbing (Certificate III or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in roof plumbing, including gutters, flashings, downpipes, and stormwater drainage systems, demonstrating expertise in these areas.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting technical drawings and construction documents, with a strong understanding of relevant building codes and regulations.
  • Competent in using tools of the trade: hand and power tools, safety equipment, and elevated work platforms, adhering to safe operating procedures.
  • Physically fit, capable of working at heights, and handling materials safely, with excellent spatial awareness and coordination.
  • Demonstrate high attention to detail and quality workmanship, consistently producing high-quality results.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, with effective communication skills and the ability to provide clear instructions.
  • Strong understanding of building safety regulations and industry best practices, staying up-to-date with relevant industry developments and standards.
