About the Role

The Head of Development will lead the strategic, commercial, and financial outcomes to drive the performance of a multi-billion-dollar property portfolio and development pipeline. Reporting to a General Manager, this role will be responsible for delivering a large-scale mixed-use residential development and contributing to the strategic leadership on an established property portfolio, new investment opportunities, asset management, and the development pipeline across the Australian eastern seaboard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial Management
    • Develop and execute the development strategy to ensure long-term profitability
    • Build and lead a high-performing development and delivery team
    • Provide expertise and manage due diligence on potential joint venture partners, transactions, and other significant contracts and agreements
  • Project Delivery
    • Deliver large-scale, multi-stage residential and mixed-use projects
    • Manage risk and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Team Leadership
    • Build and lead a high-performing team within a property development environment
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance and productivity

Requirements

  • Experience
    • Minimum 10 years of commercial and large-scale residential front-end development experience
    • Proven track record of delivering large-scale, multi-stage residential and mixed-use projects
  • Qualifications
    • Tertiary qualifications in property, commerce, construction, law, or other related disciplines
  • Skills
    • Strong commercial and financial management skills
    • Excellent leadership and team management skills
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
