About the Role
Location: SSE's UK offices
Salary: £55,200 - £83,000 + performance-related bonus and benefits
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible working options available
This role will oversee the development and implementation of AI solutions across SSE's business units, including Generation, Transmission, Distribution, Trading, and Enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain standards, frameworks, and best practices for AI solutions in business environments.
- Evaluate and test AI models to ensure performance meets business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor AI system performance and collaborate with business unit delivery teams to improve and update systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest AI technologies and identify potential applications within the organization.
- Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and stakeholders to integrate AI capabilities into existing systems and workflows.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience designing and implementing AI solutions with a focus on machine learning techniques, deep learning, and generative AI methods.
- Proficiency in programming languages and popular AI/ML frameworks and models, including adaptability and willingness to learn new AI technologies.
- Familiarity with database warehouse and data engineering concepts, as well as AI services on cloud platforms.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, particularly in applying state-of-the-art data science and AI to solve business problems.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information to business executives and support technical demos, workshops, and mentoring.
