Piping Design Expertise

Our Technical Projects department in Perth seeks a skilled Piping Designer to support our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for modeling and detailing duties, including updating PDMS models, producing piping isometrics drawings, and providing MTOs for materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Update PDMS models to incorporate design changes.
  • Produce or update piping isometrics drawings for all area scopes.
  • Produce or update pipe supports drawings and indexes.
  • Provide MTOs for materials associated with model updates.
  • General modelling and detailing duties.
  • Update GA drawings via PDMS draft.
  • Checking and approving drawings from time to time.
  • Provide valuable inputs of layout optimization during concept select phase and framing sessions.
  • Provide owner assurance input during design review, constructability review, and deliverable reviews.
  • Support turnaround technical queries resolution, provide piping design trouble shooting expertise.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years' working experience with Oil & Gas industry required.
  • 3 to 5 years minimum experience with LNG experience being highly regarded.
  • Previous work experience with Oil & Gas construction/operations phase highly regarded.
  • Demonstrable experience in PDMS piping modelling required.
  • Working knowledge of Oil & Gas specifications and materials.
  • Appreciation of Human Performance/Safety in Design.
  • A demonstrable competency in Micro station v8, PDMS 3D Piping/Equipment.
