Religious Organization Commercial Underwriting Position

Our organization seeks a skilled commercial underwriter to manage a portfolio of program business, focusing on religious organizations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze exposures and determine acceptable risks to ensure coverage and premium adequacy.
- Manage risk portfolios to track established goals and key business metrics.
- Review and approve underwriting decisions for lower authority levels.
- Collaborate with agents and underwriting assistants on accounts and agency relationships.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related field.
- Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) or other industry designation desired.
- At least six years of progressively responsible experience in commercial underwriting.
- Experience in writing religious organizations and program business preferred.
The ideal candidate will be able to analyze complex data, think critically, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
