Key Responsibilities:
* Provide financial planning and budgeting services to support the council's strategic objectives
* Prepare and present financial reports to the council and external stakeholders
* Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and Local Government Financial Accounting obligations
* Provide accounting software system training and support to staff
* Act as a key contact for financial queries from internal and external customers
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in accounting or a related field
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Experience with Microsoft Office products and packages
* High-level customer service experience
