We are seeking an enthusiastic Health Information Manager/Clinical Coder with a passion for coding to join our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the development and implementation of clinical information systems and strategies that support high-quality patient care and clinical outcomes.
  • Lead and manage the coding and casemix team, ensuring accurate and timely coding and data submission.
  • Provide training and education to staff on coding and clinical classification systems.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clinicians, managers, and external partners.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Health Sciences (Medical Classification)/Bachelor of Health Information Management or other equivalent qualification.
  • Current knowledge in ICD-10-AM, ACS, VAED reporting, National Funding Model.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Highly developed organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload, work without supervision and problem solve.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a clinical coding role, ideally with exposure to a diverse casemix.
  • Knowledge/experience with using iPM (patient administration system).

Working Conditions:

  • Permanent Full Time position.
  • 80 hours per fortnight + ADO.
  • Located at The Alfred, 541 St Kilda Road.
