About the Livestock Career Development Program

This 24-month program is designed for top talent to gain valuable experience in all aspects of the livestock industry.

You will be involved in four leadership and skill-building workshops, receive on-the-job training, and have mentors assigned to you to provide ongoing support.

During this period, you will work in both saleyard and branch environments, being mentored and guided by experienced livestock employees and leaders.

You will learn effective selling and relationship-building techniques, as well as accelerated learning opportunities to kick-start your career within the livestock industry.

As a part of our Livestock Career Development Program, you'll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, innovative products, and expert teams.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent customer service skills, strong negotiation abilities, and a genuine interest and desire to work and learn about the livestock industry.

In addition, you will demonstrate:

  • A successful completion of Year 12
  • Worked successfully for a minimum of 24 months within the agricultural industry, ideally within livestock
  • Be willing to relocate at the conclusion or throughout the program
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or Australian permanent resident
  • Be vaccinated or willing to receive the Q Fever vaccination
  • The ability to work in a team environment
  • Willingness to learn, strong communication and problem-solving skills and leadership potential
