Job Description

You will work under the direction of physiotherapists/occupational therapists to deliver a high standard of clinical service to clients in residential aged care settings.

This role involves both clinical and administrative duties. You will be part of an innovative way of offering allied health services, using the Plena Care Pathway to tailor therapy programs for residents, based on their goals and priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting with delivery of physiotherapy services in accordance with operating procedures and policies.
  • Servicing RAC clients in accordance with treatment plans.
  • Transporting residents to therapy sessions or appointments under the direction of physiotherapists/occupational therapists.
  • Setting up and packing away the physiotherapy gym, including cleaning equipment.
  • Collecting referrals and performing administrative tasks as guided by physiotherapists.
  • Ordering prescribed equipment.
  • Running exercise groups/programs.
  • Supporting initiatives to meet client expectations.
  • Consulting with physiotherapists/occupational therapists regarding adaptations/changes/progressions of treatment plans.
  • Participating in mentoring, supervision, and appraisals in line with policy and procedure.
