Your Key Responsibilities

As a Communications and Media Advisor, you will:

  • Collaborate closely with senior management to align communication efforts with the organisation's strategic goals and corporate plan;
  • Provide expert advice on media, communications, and stakeholder engagement best practices to enhance current communication strategies and create new initiatives;
  • Manage the production and delivery of communications on time and within budget, ensuring input from relevant subject matter experts;
  • Ensure all communications are consistent with the organisation's key messages, brand values, and communication objectives;
  • Track and evaluate the effectiveness of communication and media strategies, report on progress, and recommend improvements where necessary;

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or experience in communication, media, public relations, or a related field;
  • A customer-focused approach, committed to providing exceptional service to all stakeholders;
  • In-depth knowledge of modern communications and media strategies, best practices, and channels;
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to write, edit, and produce professional content across various media platforms;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with stakeholders at all levels;
  • A collaborative team player, with emotional intelligence and sound judgement in decision-making;
  • Proven ability to engage effectively with stakeholders and provide strategic guidance;
  • A highly developed service-oriented mindset, with the ability to foster mutually beneficial outcomes;
  • Understanding of the financial services sector or consumer advocacy is desirable;
