About Our Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Expert to join our team at Simplot. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food to our internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of hot and cold dishes for catering events, sensory sessions, and internal meetings.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, including chefs, food scientists, and other culinary team members.
  • Assist with sensory functions, including pre-planning, preparation, and cooking of products for sensory sessions.
  • Provide technical expertise and advice to the sensory and culinary teams.
  • Source and purchase food items and products for cook-ups, presentations, and catering events.
  • Manage food stock levels, ensuring that all food is stored and handled in a clean and hygienic environment.
Requirements
  • Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery Qualification.
  • Occupational Health & Hygiene Certificates and Food Handling Certificate.
  • Experience in food preparation, handling, and serving.
  • Ability to manage a budget and cost control for food stocks.
  • Ability to keep accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Good communication skills and ability to build internal and external relationships.
  • Experience in maintaining a clean, hygienic, and workable environment.
  • Ability to conduct physical work and lifting.
  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Proven track record in cookery.
  • A proven passion for delivering a consistently high standard.
