About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Subsurface Engineering to join our team at Resourceful Recruitment. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of energy and driving impactful change.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Subsurface and Production Engineering Teams: You will be responsible for leading and managing a team of subsurface and production engineers to enhance asset value through comprehensive exploration, appraisal, and development activities.
  • Identify and Execute Key Technical Evaluations: You will identify and execute key technical evaluations to ensure operational excellence and seize growth opportunities for current and future assets.
  • Provide Technical Assurance: You will provide robust technical assurance to the Executive Leadership Team, including reserves estimation and reporting.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that technical solutions align with commercial goals and optimize asset performance.
  • Develop and Manage Strategies: You will develop and manage strategies for asset development planning, well integrity, production allocation, and operational execution.
Requirements
  • Tertiary Qualifications: You must have tertiary qualifications in Geoscience or Petroleum Engineering.
  • Experience: You must have 10 to 15+ years' experience in subsurface engineering/geoscience across the full asset lifecycle.
  • Leadership Experience: You must have proven leadership experience managing multi-discipline teams, supported by sound commercial acumen.
  • Expertise: You must have expertise in resource/reserve reporting, well management, and production optimization.
  • Australia Working Rights: You must have Australia working rights.
