**Job Description:**
The role entails using mechanical skills and technical knowledge of equipment to ensure fleet productivity and efficiency. The position will support four mines located within a two-hour drive from Toowoomba, with the majority of time spent at the Meandu Mine site.
Main Responsibilities:
- Establish strong relationships with mining customers through regular meetings.
- Analyze performance data and problem-solve any issues related to mining fleets.
- Undertake machine inspections and audits to identify wear rates and recommend maintenance schedules.
- Assist in forecasting component needs and collaborating with customers to provide innovative solutions.
- Act as the primary point of escalation for customer concerns and work towards swift resolutions.
- Contribute to budget planning by providing forecasts and insights into resource requirements.
Requirements:
- Possess minimum mechanical trade qualifications.
- Demonstrate strong technical understanding of earth moving and construction equipment.
- Be able to travel as required and spend 2-3 days per week onsite.
