Procurement Specialist Role Overview:

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for overseeing all procurement processes, ensuring compliance with defense regulations and policies. This includes coordinating foreign military sales transactions, developing relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, monitoring procurement activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to forecast procurement needs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes in line with defense procurement frameworks.
  • Coordinate FMS transactions and ensure adherence to international trade standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers.
  • Negotiate optimal contract terms and conditions.
  • Monitor and report on procurement activities, budgets, and supplier performance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in procurement, preferably within the defense sector.
  • Proven expertise in FMS processes and regulations.
  • Strong understanding of defense procurement requirements.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
