The Lactation Service is a clinical expertise provider in the management of breastfeeding and lactation. We offer counselling to mothers and their families on the initiation, exclusivity and duration of breastfeeding and lactation, as well as assistance amidst any difficulties or high-risk situations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • We collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal breastfeeding and lactation outcomes.
  • We facilitate Breastfeeding Friendly Health Initiative (BFHI) Accreditation while delivering best practice clinical care within various hospital departments.
  • We develop and maintain knowledge to contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of the innovative Lactation Service.
Requirements:
  • Clinical experience and knowledge in lactation and breastfeeding are essential.
  • Effective interpersonal skills are necessary for success in this role.
  • A willingness to develop and maintain knowledge in lactation and breastfeeding is required.
