Breastfeeding and Lactation Support Specialist

The organization seeks a skilled Support Specialist to contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of our innovative Lactation Service.
The Lactation Service provides clinical expertise in the management of breastfeeding and lactation, offering guidance to mothers and their families on the initiation, exclusivity and duration of breastfeeding and lactation.
The successful candidate will have outstanding clinical experience and knowledge, effective interpersonal skills and a demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized support to mothers and their family structures to help them achieve breastfeeding and lactation goals
- Advocate for and promote breastfeeding as a vital aspect of women's and families' health
- Stay up-to-date with research, quality improvement initiatives and policy developments in the field
- Design and deliver lactation and infant feeding education programs for all staff members
