Role Overview

This is a permanent full-time position based in Sydney.

About the Team & The Position

AEMO's Energy Markets Cyber Coordination team plays a critical role in supporting cyber security maturity and capability uplift across Australia's energy sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinating with Commonwealth and State government authorities and energy market participants on effective response to cyber security incidents.
  • Enhancing frameworks used to inform cyber security maturity uplift across grids and markets.
  • Coordinating cyber security research activities on emerging issues affecting energy grids and markets.
  • Promoting a shared understanding of the cyber threat environment.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in the energy sector supporting critical infrastructure, resilience and cyber security initiatives (preferred).
  • Effective analysis and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of security control and maturity frameworks relevant to the energy sector.
  • Knowledge of jurisdictional structures and arrangements across State, Territory and Commonwealth governments with respect to energy and cyber security.
  • Contemporary knowledge of cyber adversary techniques and tradecraft.
  • Procurement program and project management skills.
  • Financial scheduling and resource management skills.
Education Professional Certifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in computer science technology-related fields energy-related fields or equivalent experience.
  • Cyber security energy or project management qualifications or certifications would be advantageous.
