**Job Title:** Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Teacher
About the RoleWe are seeking a passionate educator to champion Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives, support student wellbeing, and help shape a culturally inclusive learning environment.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting students and school communities in the areas of curriculum, culture, spirituality, learning and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing strategies to improve educational outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
- Collaborating with classroom teachers, curriculum teams, wellbeing teams, ministry teams and Learning Support teams.
- Liaising closely with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community to promote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives within the school.
Requirements include:
- A clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic Education and actively supporting the Catholic ethos and culture of the school.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively utilise assessment and relevant school data to optimise organisational and educational outcomes, with a focus on supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with school staff and members of the wider community in order to establish productive partnerships and achieve educational outcomes.
Essential Qualifications include:
- A four-year trained teacher qualification.
- An active NESA Accreditation.
- A Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number.
- A Completion of anaphylaxis training.
- A Current unrestricted Class C Drivers Licence.
**Working Arrangements:
The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. They will be expected to develop and maintain strong relationships with staff, students and the broader community. The role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The successful candidate will have access to professional development opportunities, as well as regular supervision and coaching to ensure their ongoing growth and success in the role.

**Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is in accordance with New South Wales & Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2023.
