The role of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Worker is a pivotal position within our educational community. As a dedicated professional, you will play a vital role in supporting students, teachers, and school communities in their cultural, spiritual, and wellbeing journeys.
- Support the implementation of the Reconciliation Action Plan - Reflect by promoting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives and values within the school community.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to foster cultural exchange and understanding.
- Contribute to the development of culturally responsive teaching practices that acknowledge and respect Indigenous knowledges and experiences.
Requirements for Success
- Demonstrated experience working in educational settings with a focus on supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and their families.
