About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Associate, Investors – South Asia, SEA, Australasia. This role will be based in Sydney and will form a core part of the Investors – South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Australasia team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct primary research via direct outreach to investment professionals to obtain valuable proprietary information.
  • Represent Preqin at conferences and industry events.
  • Update Preqin's online database with key financial information, statistics, and analysis.
  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise for the dataset, supporting internal and external stakeholders in gaining an understanding of internal processes concerning data management.
  • Troubleshoot escalated data quality incidents, collaborating with regional stakeholders and/or global BUs as needed.
  • Support senior team members on research projects and get involved in further data enhancement and development activities.
  • Conduct bespoke statistical analysis for clients.
  • Conduct supplementary public/web research where necessary.
  • Provide support to Research Insights, Product & Marketing Groups, etc., to ensure all related publications and content are delivered according to guidelines and deadlines.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, with relevant industry experience of 2 years.
  • Prior experience focused on communication and relationship management is preferred.
  • Strong research capabilities and investigative instincts.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a target-driven environment, working towards set KPIs and performance metrics.
  • You are highly organized, self-motivated, and collaborative.
  • Regional knowledge of the alternative assets industry is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 is required.
  • Business proficiency in English is required.
