Key Responsibilities- Oversee the estimating process from end-to-end, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Lead and mentor a small team of estimators, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Prepare and price estimates in their entirety, developing detailed project budgets and ensuring compliance with company procedures.
- Peer review estimates completed by other estimators, ensuring accurate pricing and adherence to company standards.
- Prepare risk and opportunity analysis prior to tendering, identifying potential issues and developing mitigation strategies.
- Prepare tender assumptions, clarifications, and queries, ensuring clear communication with clients and stakeholders.
- Prepare submission of progress, variations, and claims documentation, ensuring accurate pricing and timely submission.
- Monthly reporting to the Executive Pre-Contracts Manager, providing updates on project progress and estimating activities.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Estimator with a strong background in civil construction, preferably with exposure to tenders on large-scale projects. You will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in estimating, with a formal tertiary education in QS, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or Contracts Management. You will also have expert estimating software experience and a strong understanding of the National Code of Practice, procurement, and construction methodology.
