At StandardAero, we're driven by innovation and a passion for delivering exceptional results. As a key member of our Repair Line team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and precision in our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machining of complex parts to restore specific features and meet precise tolerances.
- Collaborating with engineers to develop repair work scopes, including sequence of operations and tooling requirements.
- Designing and manufacturing tooling, jigs, and fixtures to meet detailed manufacturing drawings.
- Producing small components, such as sleeves, in accordance with detailed parts drawings.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of work areas, ensuring regular cleaning and maintenance of machines, and adhering to TPM procedures.
- Ensuring accurate tool control and inventory management.
- Fostering positive working relationships with all departments at all levels.
- Preparing components for protective coatings, including blasting, de-greasing, and masking.
- Applying protective coatings, such as painting, varnishing, and Sermetal coatings.
- Overseeing documentation and ensuring tasks are completed progressively.
- Identifying opportunities for personal growth and development with your supervisor.
- Performing other duties as required to maintain department efficiency and schedule.
Requirements:
- Certificate III or equivalent qualification.
- At least 4 years of experience in a manual machinist role.
- Understanding of geometric tolerance and ability to read and interpret CMM reports.
- Proficiency in using standard measuring instruments.
- Ability to understand and apply relevant documentation in the machine shop.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
