DevOps Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Lead to collaborate with our client on a 12-month contract. This pivotal role demands a strong background in architecture, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). As a DevOps Lead, you will work closely with developers and engineers to establish and enforce DevOps best practices across the development team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the establishment and enforcement of DevOps best practices across the development team.
  • Collaborate with developers and engineers to design and implement automation solutions.
  • Manage and automate infrastructure, with a focus on VMware and Azure environments.
  • Drive the design, development, and maintenance of a highly secure Windows server SOE solution using Ansible, JFrog, and Packer.
  • Ensure effective CI/CD practices and tools are in place.
  • Automate OS patching and implement security policies on both public and private cloud platforms.
  • Engage with enterprise stakeholders to design and support automation solutions.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in infrastructure automation.
  • Strong background in infrastructure visualization and cloud technologies, including VMware and Azure.
  • Proficiency in DevOps tools and platforms such as GitHub/Azure DevOps, JFrog Artifactory, Ansible, and Packer.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, Multicast, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Experience with containerization technologies, specifically Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable Skills:
  • Familiarity with VMware Tanzu/VCF.
  • Experience with Azure or AWS.
  • Knowledge of Dell & NetApp hardware.
