Job Overview

This role is for a skilled Registered Nurse who will be responsible for assessing, reviewing and providing care to residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in aged care and a strong understanding of clinical practice.

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading a team of carers and providing comprehensive nursing assessments. They will also assist with the planning and implementation of nursing care for individuals and manage medication administration.

  • Provide comprehensive nursing assessments to inform individualized care plans.

  • Liaise with medical practitioners and family members to provide holistic care.

Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor of Nursing degree.
  • Previous demonstrable experience in relevant nursing field.
  • Knowledge of State and Federal Aged Care legislation.
  • Current registration with Australian Health Practitioners Registration Authority (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated ability to meet targets and performance outcomes.
  • Ability to support a continuous improvement model.
  • Proven ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills.

Preferred
  • Previous experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
  • Minimum two years' experience in an Aged Care health setting as a Registered Nurse.
