We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Global Production and Sourcing Director to join our team. This is a rare opportunity to make your mark and shape the future of an industry-leading fashion brand.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our production team, leading the development and execution of the production strategy, overseeing all aspects of the production function, including margin optimization, lead time management, compliance, quality control, and logistics.

Salary: $160,000 - $180,000 per annum, plus super and bonus.

Job Description:

You will be responsible for managing production operations across China, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and Cambodia. Your extensive experience in international production management will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our global supply chain. With your supportive leadership mindset, you will empower and inspire your team to achieve exceptional results.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Elevate and protect high standards of product quality
  • Lead a team of 5 professionals who oversee a large volume of orders spanning apparel, footwear, and accessories categories
  • Manage factory compliance, from onboarding to audits and inspections
  • Cultivate and nurture strong supplier relationships, expanding the current supply chain while protecting its integrity
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Development team on sourcing, fits, costings, and approvals
  • Oversee the fit process, ensuring efficient communication and seamless collaboration
  • Champion compliance and testing efforts related to fabric/garment performance and restricted substances
  • Master critical path management, conducting weekly production meetings with your direct reports and the product team
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all supplier communication
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive supplier manual, ensuring suppliers are up-to-date with the latest information
  • Collaborate with the Sourcing Manager to execute a robust global sourcing strategy
  • Manage seasonal production capacities with key partners, ensuring smooth operations and timely delivery

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A proven track record in a Head of Production role within a high-volume apparel/fashion retailer
  • Well-established networks with overseas factories and suppliers
  • Strong production and technical knowledge, enabling you to make informed decisions
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and developing others
  • Outstanding negotiation abilities, allowing you to secure the best deals for the company
