We're seeking a dedicated and compassionate nursing professional to join our cardiac team. As a Registered Nurse on the cardiac ward, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures, including CABG/valve surgeries. This will involve working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care, from preparation through to recovery.

In addition to your technical skills, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to effectively collaborate with colleagues and provide empathetic support to patients and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Undertake perioperative nursing care in accordance with legislation as a Registered Nurse on the cardiac ward.
  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care and liaise with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Ensure patient and staff safety; supervise, direct and guide nursing team members to deliver patient care.
  • Proactively assess perioperative nursing care to achieve the best possible outcomes for patients.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will require:

  • Current Registration with AHPRA with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
  • Experience in an acute hospital setting, preferably in a cardiac ward.
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards.
