Job Description:

The Water Treatment Technician's primary responsibilities will include conducting a variety of process tests, water treatment operations and maintenance.

This includes assisting with mechanical preventative and corrective maintenance of process equipment, as well as participating in ongoing site audits to assess works to be completed and implementing immediate correction action as required.

Additionally, the technician will create, review, analyze and submit spreadsheets, graphing, and monthly operating and regulatory reports.

They will also report any HSEQ issues immediately to Management for action, order site consumables and chemicals as needed, and monitor and respond to all equipment outages or malfunctions on sites as needed.

Furthermore, they will manage the alarm system installation and monitoring for all relevant plant and equipment, ensuring all plant and equipment are properly tested, inspected, calibrated, and service records are maintained.

Furthermore, the Water Treatment Technician will perform analysis of reports and data to determine areas of opportunity for better performance, and conduct sampling duties in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Requirements:
  • Current Driver's License
  • Tertiary Qualifications (Environmental) and/or Trade Certificate (Electrical/Mechanical or Plumbing)
  • Construction Induction
  • Strong water treatment understanding
  • Chemical knowledge, understanding of processes
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Hydraulic knowledge
  • Electrical & control system aptitude

Desirable qualifications include experience in the Rental, Mining, Construction or Heavy industries, Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators or Water Treatment Plant Operators Certificate/experience, and Forklift license (LF).
