Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our growing team in Canberra. As a key member of our Building Structures group, you will be responsible for leading projects across the design, delivery, and tender phases for multi-year/packaged work for turnkey projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project lead work across the design, delivery, and tender phases for multi-year/packaged work for turnkey projects
  • Ensure timely and quality of delivery for project and structural engineering work in support of relevant technical, commercial, and regulatory standards
  • Handle ongoing communication and highly effective professional relationships with clients
  • Manage effective stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally
  • Provide sound technical/delivery guidance for the team
  • Mentor, train, and develop the careers of junior engineers
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and a collaborative, national team in a multidisciplinary engineering setting
Requirements
  • Typically 6+ years' experience on medium/large Australian building structures engineering projects
  • Capacity to manage small-to-medium scale projects autonomously and deliver large-scale projects as part of a team
  • Excellent steel and post-tensioned (PT) design and inspections skills
  • Moderate-to-high level of proficiency with software packages such as RAM and RAPT
  • Track record of collaborating effectively with other engineering disciplines on projects
  • Well versed in liaising effectively with external stakeholders
  • Understanding of BIM, Navis Works, and Revit Structure would be beneficial
