Production Operations Manager

We are seeking a Production Operations Manager to oversee the daily operation of our cement manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will ensure all environmental, safety, and quality targets are met while achieving maximum throughput and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety and Environmental Compliance:
    • Communicate and implement safety policies across all work environments to maintain a strong safety culture.
    • Evaluate and ensure compliance with air permits and other relevant regulations.
    • Ensure proper training and utilization of safety equipment by Kiln and Alternative Fuels teams.
    • Investigate and report near misses and accidents.
  • Productivity and Efficiency:
    • Oversee the pyro side of cement plant production, including strategic growth of alternative fuels.
    • Monitor and optimize operations from surge piles to clinker silos.
    • Manage variable and fixed costs associated with clinker production.
    • P&L responsibility for PEF facility, focusing on feedstock, volumes, manufacturing costs, and quality improvement.
  • Leadership and Development:
    • Lead and motivate plant operations team members through goal setting and feedback.
    • Develop trusting relationships with team members to foster growth and skill development.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to address environmental regulations, policies, and standards.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 6-8 years of experience in production management or technical roles within cement manufacturing or similar industries.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or MBA is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, P&L analysis, planning, permitting, negotiations, and process improvement.
  • Familiarity with safety, environmental, and quality compliance regulations.
