About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at The Disability Trust. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve independence and live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with disabilities, including showering, toileting, and dressing
  • Assist with domestic duties, such as cooking and cleaning
  • Support clients in attending work, appointments, and social events
  • Administer and organize medication
  • Engage in skill-building activities individually and in groups
Requirements
  • A genuine desire to support individuals with disabilities
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in engaging with new people
  • An understanding of privacy and confidentiality
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and NSW Working with Children Check
  • Evidence of at least two doses of a COVID-19 vaccination
  • A current Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Flexibility to work a 24-hour rotating roster
