Senior Health and Safety Inspector

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Health and Safety Inspector to join our team. This role will play a critical part in improving work health and safety across Queensland workplaces, with a focus on agriculture.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in workplace health and safety protocols, with the ability to build and manage relationships with stakeholders. They will also possess excellent written communication skills, time management abilities, and resilience in challenging situations.

In this role, you will contribute to the safety of Queenslanders by being part of a proactive team where your role has a visible and positive impact on workplace safety across the community.

You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, focusing on agricultural sectors, and collaborate with industry to improve health and safety in Queensland workplaces. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing effective strategies to improve work health and safety across agricultural sectors
  • Providing education and training to employers and employees on work health and safety laws and regulations
  • Conducting investigations into workplace fatalities and serious injuries, and providing recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborating with industry stakeholders to develop and implement best practice guidelines for workplace health and safety
