We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Safety Engineering Consultant to join our team at Australia Wide. As a key member of our consultancy, you will play a critical role in delivering incident investigations, engineering safety consulting projects, and providing expert liability opinions.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough incident investigations, analyzing matters concerning powered mobile plant vs pedestrians, control rooms and data centres, machinery incidents, structural failures, and trips and falls.
- Deliver engineering safety consulting projects for clients, including assessment of ladders, stairways, and platforms, workplace safety audits and inspections, and manual handling risk assessments.
- Develop practical solutions to safety problems, leveraging your expertise in ergonomics, product engineering, process engineering, traffic management planning, and structured problem-solving disciplines.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their safety needs and develop tailored solutions to address these challenges.
- Minimum Bachelor of Engineering Degree qualification, preferably in mechanical engineering.
- Post-graduate qualifications or relevant work experience in ergonomics, product engineering, process engineering, traffic management planning, or structured problem-solving disciplines.
- Around 10 years of proven experience as a professional engineer, with a strong background in incident investigation and/or product or system failure analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clear and succinct reports that effectively communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
