Community Development Lead

We are seeking a Community Development Lead to shape our approach to community wellbeing, equity, and inclusion. This role is central to driving key social policy initiatives, collaborating with internal officers and external stakeholders to translate community needs into meaningful policy.

The successful candidate will lead strategic projects, guiding a small team and working across multiple teams to deliver inclusive, evidence-based policy outcomes. They will also analyse demographic and consultation data to inform planning and service delivery, supporting integration of social insights into our service and business planning processes.

  • Develop and implement community development strategies that promote social cohesion and inclusivity.
  • Analyse and interpret demographic and consultation data to inform planning and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build partnerships and drive positive change in the community.

This role requires significant knowledge of community planning and policy frameworks, experience in social research and data analysis, strong project management skills, and an understanding of our role in responding to social policy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leverage data to identify trends and opportunities for community development.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community groups, government agencies, and local businesses.
  • Design and implement evaluation frameworks to measure the effectiveness of community development initiatives.
